The English Battlestar Wiki has reached 3,000 articles. Ironically enough, the 3,000th article is on the penis lantern — David Eick’s name for the decorative, metallic chrome, semi-flaccid, phallic-like lighting fixtures on Pegasus.
Our 2,999th article was a disambiguation page on those with the name Tom (including Thomas and Tommy).
In other news, the German wiki is five articles shy of 700 articles!

As you can see, we’ve started adding links to The Planet on various Frak Media! websites. The Planet is the company that we rent our web servers from. They’re a wonderful data center and we highly recommend them for all your web server needs.
If you want a low cost server to meet your needs, please check them out by going here.
Coincidentally, we also recommend 1and1, which was our previous server before the Battlestar Wiki grew to Galactican proportions. Check them out by going here. They are currently having a 50% off sale on select products to celebrate their 20th anniversary as a company, so you may want to take advantage of it now!

We’re working on a new website called “Cappa Frakr”, which aims to be a repository for high-quality, DVD screencaps from various science fiction series new and old. Tentative releases include “The Prisoner”, “Farscape”, “Babylon 5″, the original “Battlestar Galactica”, “Galactica 1980″ and “Dr. Who”.
Presently, we’re in the process of adding screencaps for the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, as you can see here.
Currently, Cappa Frakr is currently in early alpha stages of design, so there’ll be some drastic changes coming up for that site in the next week or two.

The Eureka Wiki, launched the first of this month, is close to reaching a total of 100 in-development articles.
While we have the basics, we’re looking for people to help develop rich content. Eureka fans are encouraged to develop or create new articles, in addition to transcribing the freely available podcasts on SciFi.com’s Eureka website.
We’re also looking for people to help promote this new wiki, so if you know of a Eureka fan site that we can linkshare with, please notify us by replying to this blog or sending an e-mail to the Eureka Wiki development team. (Be sure to remove the “NOSPAM” from the e-mail address!)
Think smart Eureka!

If you are visiting any one of the wikis, and you experience some errors. Please ignore them, we are upgrading to MediaWiki 1.11.0. Thank you for your time.

Frak Media is pleased to present a new website and organization called the “Battlestar Alliance“.
The Battlestar Alliance’s goal is to “unify all like-minded Battlestar websites from all the series into one group, as a demonstration of unity across fanbases for all three series. The three series referred to here are the original Battlestar Galactica, Galactica 1980, and the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica. Furthermore, this is a coalition of sites that help out each other in times of need, supplying content and other kinds of support (whether financial, technical or promotional) whenever feasible.”
To sign up for the Battlestar Alliance, or simply to send queries, please send e-mail the leadership group by clicking here.
