The survey on Battlestar Wiki, which ran from Monday, 18 February 2008 to Monday, 7 April 2008, has now ended. It has resulted in well over 1,000 respondents, which greatly surpasses even our highest expectations!
We are currently running through the results and will be contacting the contest winners by the end of Friday, 11 April 2008.
To recap, the prizes that will be drawn are as follows:
- One (1) copy of Battlestar Galactica Season 3 on DVD, or one gift certificate to an online retailer of your choice for $40.00 USD. (Grand Prize, only 1 possible winner)
- One (1) copy of the Battlestar Galactica Season 3 soundtrack, or one gift certificate to an online retailer of your choice for $10.00 USD. (Second Prize, only 1 possible winner)
- A one-year membership to Battlestar Forum/Battlestar Wiki. (Third Prize, 3 possible winners.)
Winners will be picked randomly. Results will be posted as soon as we have confirmation that the random winners have chosen their prizes (product vs. gift certificate), and that the recipient’s contact information is validated.
Please direct any questions to Joe Beaudoin Jr. here. Thank you for your participation and for helping us immensely with your feedback!
Also, you don’t have to wait for surveys like this to send us your feedback… Check out our contact page and find out how you can send us your thoughts, suggestions, questions, and even help us point our issues or opportunities with our content.
So say we all!

Woopra (http://www.woopra.com/), a live stats tracking software, and FrakMedia! site, Battlestar Forum, have teamed up to create a plugin in preparation for Woopra’s massive launch of stat tracking for all. Currently only running on the Battlestar Forum, it will soon be integrated on all FrakMedia! websites.
Unlike Quantcast, which complies data after a certain amount of time, Woopra collects and crunches the vists in real time. Using the downloadable Java application or via the web based interface, we can track how people visit the site and need improvement on how to get to a site and collect more graphically data on where I users come from.
Again, the polices of FrakMedia have not changed. Usernames and Email address are collected when you visit any one of the sites, so there is no need to update the privacy policy at this time. There is a feature were we can start “javascript” based chats with visitors if we have questions. You would see those in the bottom right hand of your screen. You can visit our Woopra page here to learn more about our polices on this subject.
Check out the Woopra site for more features to see which type of information is collected. Any other questions should be directed to me regarding the collection of the data used.
